Party Nails is Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist Elana Belle Carroll, originally from Chatham, New York. Her music and performances draw comparisons to Robyn, Hayley Williams and Cyndi Lauper, three artists whose careers she has followed since she began writing and producing over a decade ago. Not her first rodeo in releasing music and playing shows, Party Nails is the present amalgamation of Carroll's influences, a naturalistic and bold take on pop music vis-à-vis her interests (at various times) in Americana and country, Renaissance revival, electronica, post-punk, and legends from Prince to Karen O.
These influences can be heard on her album Past Lives and Paychecks, half of which she wrote and produced entirely alone and the other half she collaborated on with friends. The 12 track debut full-length came after single releases, a fan-adored EP, songwriting and vocal features for Battle Tapes, Getter, and MitiS, and a number of US tours including supporting PVRIS, Lights, MitiS, Bad Bad Hats and Eve 6.
Her next single "Effexor" is due for a June 21 release, the day before she begins a six week national tour with electronic pop duo PRXZM - this is their second tour together. Party Nails’ unnamed sophomore album is slated for an early 2020 release.
