LOS ANGELES, CA (Dec. 5, 2017) - Two months after her nationwide tour with PVRIS and Lights, Party Nails is set to release her newest single, "SO BROKE," a gritty and old-school dance jam produced by LA electronic duo Battle Tapes. Their last collaboration was "Solid Gold," which appeared on Battle Tapes' 2015 album Polygon.

Of the song Party Nails (writer/producer/singer Elana Belle Carroll) says: "Earlier in 2017 I had written a few songs about being broke and what it feels like, especially in today's status-obsessed world. But the songs all felt too sad. Then a few months ago Riley [of Battle Tapes] sent me an instrumental he had been working on, and I instantly loved it and wrote the whole song quickly. I felt nervous but excited to be talking so plainly about how I actually felt at the time, as opposed to an abstraction. Riley, Josh and I passed the song around a few times before finishing it up together. I'm really happy with the record. I love working with my babes Battle Tapes."

The "SO BROKE" single release will take place just one month after Getter released his latest single, "Solo" which Party Nails wrote and sings. Her last release was the EP Come Again, which received placements in Spotify's Fresh Finds Playlist, Spotify Charts Viral 50, Nike Running Tempo Playlist, and Victoria Secret Playlist, among others, and continues to rack up listens across streaming platforms. Her singles "Break" and "No Pressure" were called "an absolute dream" and "a fierce bit of pop" by Neon Gold and Noisey, respectively.

The music video, directed/shot/edited by Bia Jurema and written by Party Nails, was made with less than $200 and a two-woman team, Bia and assistant Naz Massaro. Inspired by the grandiosity of pulp noir and Party Nails' own playfully raw vibe, the video follows Party Nails to the car wash, where she ends up using The Man (played by actor Patrick Conboy) to clean her candy-apple-red Mustang. It's a spin on the "sexy car wash" theme as well as a literal take on the anger that accompanies hard work gone unnoticed.
